Dr. Scott Walter, DC, ART
The driving force for Dr. Scott Walter’s career in Chiropractic came while he was still in high school. Dr. Walter was very active in athletics and would frequently have minor injuries that would require him to visit the Chiropractor, but one injury in particular really solidified in his mind that he wanted to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. During one football game his sophomore season, he sustained a back injury after a hit from another player which was extremely painful and caused him to sit out the rest of the game. The day after the injury, Dr. Walter was evaluated by a local Chiropractor who, after ruling out a spinal fracture, found he had a severe contusion (bruise) along with some low back muscle spasms and low back subluxations (a bone that is misaligned causing irritation to the local nerves). After a few adjustments and some home exercises, Dr. Walter was right back to the playing field. After seeing how Chiropractors help not only athletes, but everyone live healthier lives through a natural approach to health care, Dr. Walter decided he wanted to help people in the same way.
Dr. Walter grew up in Wahpeton, ND, where he graduated from Wahpeton Senior High School. Following graduation, Dr. Walter was honored to accept a football scholarship to play for North Dakota State University, in Fargo, ND. As football can be a grueling sport physically and was a constant challenge to stay healthy, Dr. Walter credits regular Chiropractic care with keeping him on the field. Dr. Walter graduated Magna Cum Laude from NDSU with a degree in Human Performance and Fitness, which formed the foundation for his career in Chiropractic. He learned the basics of exercise, nutrition and how to motivate individuals to lead healthier lives. While attending NDSU, he also met the love of his life and future wife, Courtney. After graduating from NDSU, Dr. Walter attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dr. Walter resides in Eden Prairie, MN with his beautiful wife Courtney and their dog Dutch. They really enjoy living in such a friendly and active community as Eden Prairie. Dr. Walter’s passion is to help people learn about their bodies and how to live a healthier life by promoting proper nutrition, regular exercise, healthy lifestyle choices and regular Chiropractic adjustments.
