Through out pregnancy your pelvic floor changes to adapt to the extra pressure from the growing uterus as well as getting ready for birth. For moms to be that have already have a baby or 2 the changes will occur earlier on in the pregnancy. These changes can be having difficulty holding urine or bowl movements, pain during intercourse, general discomfort in the pelvic region, hip or pelvic pain/instability. With first time mom we work to start adding stability as soon as we can following the birth of the baby, For moms who are on the second or more pregnancies if they haven't done rehab for their core and pelvic floor we start as soon as they come into the office.
